What is Beltone B-70 Fund?

Beltone B-70 is an open-ended equity fund that aims to track the performance of the EGX70 EWI Index.

The fund is available for daily subscription and redemption, and is established by Beltone Asset Management.

What does Beltone B-70 invest in?

Beltone B-70 mainly invests in the stocks included in the EGX70 EWI Index.

The fund aims to track the index by investing primarily in its constituent stocks, while keeping a limited portion in liquidity or low-risk instruments.

The fund follows investment guidelines such as:

  • Minimum equity exposure: 90% of the fund
  • Maximum liquidity or low-risk instruments: 10%
  • Maximum per stock: 15%

What is the EGX70 EWI Index?

The EGX70 EWI Index tracks the top 70 companies in terms of liquidity and activity on the Egyptian Exchange, after excluding the companies included in the EGX30 Index.

It is an equal-weight index, which means each company in the index has the same weight.

This gives the fund more balanced exposure across the index constituents.

How do I place a buy order?

  • Open the Thndr app and tap Explore
  • Search for “Beltone 70” or “B70”
  • Tap on the fund
  • Tap Buy and enter the amount you want to invest (minimum 11 certificates)
 

Buying & Selling

Orders submitted before 12 PM:

Will be sent on the same day and executed on the next business day at that day’s certificate price.

Orders submitted after 12 PM:

Will be sent on the next working day and executed on the following business day at that day’s certificate price.

Fees

Standard transaction fees apply to all buy and sell orders.

Fund management fees are calculated in the certificate price and are not charged directly when buying or selling.

Beltone B-70 is managed by Beltone Asset Management, a subsidiary of Beltone Financial.

What are the risks?

Beltone B-70 is an equity fund, so its value may rise or fall depending on market conditions.

  • Liquidity risk: The investment manager may not always be able to buy or sell positions as planned if market liquidity is weak.
  • Index changes: The stocks included in the EGX70 EWI Index may change over time. When that happens, the fund may need to sell stocks removed from the index and buy newly added ones.
