What is an Advanced Limit Order?

Disclaimer: Activities in the Egypt market are conducted through Thndr Securities Brokerage, which is a member firm of the Egyptian Stock Exchange and is authorized and regulated by the Financial Regulatory Authority . Registered in Egypt (no. 804)

If you are a Thndr Trader subscriber, you are able to sell stocks before settlement (T+2)

Selling T+0 and T+1 shares is done by placing an advanced limit order

  1. Search for the stock you want to sell, and click on it
  2. Click on Sell
  3. Select ‘Advanced limit order’

You are now on the advanced limit order screen!

Here you will be able to place orders on all settlement cycles of a stock (T+0, T+1, T+2)

1. Choose the settlement cycle you are selling from:

  • T+2 are shares you purchased 2 or more trading sessions ago.
  • T+1 are shares you purchased in the previous trading session.
  • T+0 are shares you purchased during today’s trading session.

2. Set your limit price

3. Specify the number of shares

4. Set your order type:

  • Default (Limit Order) – Executes at set price or better
  • All or None (AON) – Order will remain pending until the full quantity can be filled
  • Minimum Fill – Order will only execute when your set minimum quantity can be filled and then remain active until the full quantity is filled or the order expires.

5. Set your expiry type:

  • Good till day – Your order will expire at the end of the trading day if not executed.
  • Good till cancel – Your order will remain pending until executed or canceled.
  • Good till specific date – Your order will expire at a set date if not executed.
  • Fill or Kill – Full quantity must be filled immediately or the order is cancelled.
  • Immediate or Cancel – Execute available quantity immediately & cancel the rest. Also known as Fill and Kill.

Note

If you have 500 shares in T+2 settlement, and 100 shares in T+0, you will need to place two separate orders:

  • Sell order for 500 shares @ T+2 settlement
  • Sell order for 100 shares @ T+0 settlement

Will the funds appear in my Thndr Wallet after the order gets executed?
