What is NI Capital Sahmy 70 Fund (NCS) ?
NI Capital Sahmy 70 Fund is an open-ended equity fund that aims to track the performance of the EGX 70 EWI index.
It is open for daily subscription and redemption, established by NI Capital with the approval of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA).

What is the EGX70 EWI Index?
EGX 70 (EWI) is an index on the EGX that tracks the top 70 companies in terms of liquidity and activity, after excluding the 30 companies that make up the EGX30 index.
The EGX70 an equal-weight index (EWI) which means each company has the same weight (around 1.43%)
What does NI Capital Sahmy 70 (NCS) invest in ?
The fund invests in EGX70 listed stocks. It aims to track the performance of the index, not outperform it. The fund follows certain guidelines such as:
- 90% of the fund must be stocks within the EGX70 index.
- No more than 10% of the fund can be kept as cash or other forms of liquidity
- No more than 15% of the fund’s assets can be invested in the shares of a single company, and this investment should not exceed 20% of that company’s shares

How do I place my order?
- Open the Thndr app and tap on “Explore.”
- Search for “NI Capital Sahmy 70” or locate “NCS” under the Equity funds theme.
- Tap on NI Capital Sahmy
- Tap on “Buy” and specify the amount you wish to invest (minimum 2 certificates).
Buying & Selling
Orders are submitted daily with a cut-off time of 12 PM.
If you place your order before 12 PM:
Your order will be sent on the same day and executed the next working day at the new certificate price
If you place your order after 12 PM:
Your order will be sent on the next working day and executed the following working day at the new certificate price
Fees
There are no fund subscription (buying) fees. When redeeming, the fund charges a 1% redemption fee that amortizes over 1 year.
If you sell your certificates:
- Within the first 6 months from buying: 1% redemption fee is applied
- Between 7 month up to 12 months from buying: 0.5% redemption fee is applied
- After 1 year: No redemption fees
Standard Transaction fees apply on every buy and sell order
Fund management fees are calculated in the certificate price & not charged directly when buying or selling.
