Starting today, you can trade commission free and with no account minimum in stocks listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange.

Ultimately, Thndr is all about access. Financial inclusion is not about just having a bank account. In our books, financial inclusion translates into empowered individuals that have access to all kinds of financial services.
The idea for Thndr sprouted back in 2016 as I was advising on the sale of a bank. I realized how inaccessible financial products were to the general population. This is when I decided to make investing accessible to everyone my lifetime mission. Following my stint in banking, my journey at Uber taught me how to use technology to offer a comprehensive and seamless experience that is built around the user. Through the combination of my banking and tech experiences, I felt that I was finally prepared to focus full time on Thndr— With the clear mission of removing all barriers and friction that an individual would face throughout their investment journey, while empowering them with the right resources and tools.

On August 12, 2020 we received our brokerage license from the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), granting us authorization to conduct securities brokerage services in Egypt. This is a huge milestone for an Egyptian technology company like Thndr, one reached with the help of all of our early supporters who believed in us and signed up for early access from the very start. Thank you – we wouldn’t be where we are today without your feedback and engagement.
We are grateful for the support of a progressive Financial Regulatory Authority who is strongly committed to seeking modern methodologies to enhance the investment landscape in Egypt and pave the way for financial inclusion.
